Following our donation of an armchair to the Heartlands Hospital in Birmingham last month, we had the pleasure of donating 6 more much-needed, height adjustable comfortable armchairs for the special care rooms in the neonatal unit.
This is a unit that is close to our hearts due to the care they provided Lyla Thomas back in 2015 when she was born 9 weeks early. Lyla is the daughter of our director Martyn, and the family were so happy to return to the unit and meet some of the staff that helped care for Lyla during her stay.
These armchairs will help parents sitting for hours next to their babies’ incubators stay comfortable, and the fact that they are height adjustable will also mean that they will hugely benefit mothers who have had caesarean sections. From the time Martyn and his wife spent on the unit, they know only too well how difficult it could be some days to get a comfortable chair to sit in. As such, we were very happy to be able to donate these chairs and give something back to this amazing unit.
