Using a Platinum Stairlift: Step-by-Step

Pre-Ride Safety Measures

1. Isolate the chair with the key switch before mounting or dismounting.
2. Ensure the swivel seat is locked into the correct position.

Getting On and Preparing for the Ride

1. Manually fold down the footrest, or use the powered option via a switch under the opposite armrest.
2. Fold down the seat pad and make sure it’s in the right position. Use the seat swivel levers to adjust.
3. Fold down the armrests.
4. Fasten your seat belt.

During the Journey

1. Press and hold the joystick in your travel direction. Expect a short delay before movement.
2. The stairlift auto-adjusts its speed for a smooth journey.

Dismounting

1. Release the joystick and wait for a complete stop.
2. Unfasten the seat belt and swivel the seat if necessary.
3. Fold up the armrests, seat and footrest.

Extras: Remote Control

To move the chair without a passenger, use the remote control—red for up, green for down.
